Rahu in Vedic Astrology is one of the nine major astronomical bodies (Navagraha). Unlike the other eight, Rahu is a shadow entity, one that causes eclipses and is the king of meteors.

Rahu represents obsessions and desires in human beings. Rahu is considered as the head of the Asura that became immortal after drinking nectar during Samudra Manthan, while Ketu being remaining body. It also indicates the karmic desire of the past and present of the native.

Rahu is known as “Dragon Head” and brings more of malefic influences in one’s life however, it can also bring favorable outcomes depending on the position of Rahu in an individual’s horoscope.

Here is the prediction of Rahu in different houses yet, the accurate prediction can be ascertained only after looking at one’s birth chart as Nakshatra of Rahu should also be analyzed.

Rahu in 1st House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the first house is the room for success. It helps one to get more success in life and fulfill their desires. It helps one to build more courage and be creative as well.

Negative Effect: Rahu on a negative part may lead one to act illegal and immoral to follow their dream. It generates an attitude of being superior towards oneself and dominate others. All in all, it governs all the obsessions, desires, illusions, desperation to an extreme level.

Rahu in 2nd House

Positive Effect: As for the second house Rahu makes the individual financially affluent. Irrespective of their status, somehow they get to experience worldly comfort and luxury in life. They will mostly be surrounded by well-educated and socially privileged people.

Negative Effect: The presence of Rahu, in the second house will make them spend the money unnecessarily on useless things. They might be harsh and impolite in the language. In some extreme cases, the natives may also get into committing crimes.

Rahu in 3rd House

 Positive Effect: Rahu in the third house will make one popular. These individuals are agile, positive and brave. They may be able to learn the art of business, earn good money and good fortune in their life.

Negative Effect: At times Rahu, in the third house may cause one to have evil thoughts, illegal cohabitation, secret life, ill-health, obstacles, injuries in accidents, worries due to children and financial losses, inability to lead an independent life.

Rahu in 4th House

Positive Effect: Placement of Rahu in the fourth house provides power, acknowledgment, and reputation. The natives might experience sudden gains in terms of wealth, power, and business. It also provides intelligence and wisdom. Also, their relationship will be loyal.

Negative Effect: Rahu in the fourth house is largely maleficent accordant to Vedic astrology. It makes individuals desirous and they have an excessive impulsion to get a high position in society and to get this they tend to follow an unjust manner. Besides, they might lack sympathy and affection towards others.

Rahu in 5th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the 5th house is quiet helpful to become a successful actor, politician or sportsperson cause it helps individuals to be creative in life. Also, it makes the natives expert in speculation.

Negative Effect: When Rahu is negative in the 5th house, it causes dissatisfaction, materialistic tendencies, fears, distorted mental makeup, and fantasies.

Rahu in 6th House

Positive Effect: When Rahu gets into the 6th house, they may be very good at Managerial abilities because of which they can resolve conflicts very efficaciously. Usually, they are very generous and also, have a strong desire to serve others especially those who are facing tough and difficult times in life.

Negative Effect: On a negative note, when Rahu enters the 6th house they might share an unstable human relationship with many such as domestic helpers, employees and maternal relatives and even friends and have issues and challenges in maintaining the relationship.

Rahu in 7th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the 7th house offers one a blissful life. Their life is filled with tons of emotions of love, affection, fondness, and respect. Also, they have a well-balanced and happy married life. Rahu is likely to help them run their business in profits and besides, they will be experiencing unexpected gains in a life time and again.

Negative Effect: The bad influence of Rahu in the 7th house fills the life of individuals with grief, painfulness, hardships, and faithlessness. They may have a lot of enemies which might create hurdles in their business.

Rahu in 8th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the 8th house attract wealth in one’s life. They might possess a very high intuition and be good at making the right decision in their life. Also, they possess a high intellectual and are surrounded by well-educated people in their life.

Negative Effect: Rahu in the 8th house is likely to give more problems than goodness. It may lead one to suffer from complexities like defamation and serious types of disgrace in life. They may even witness hurly-burly in their married life time and again. They are also likely to get deceived by others frequently.

Rahu in 9th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the 9th house provides individuals with high knowledge be it spiritual or academic. It can make the native affluent and wealthy. It also brings luck and fortune in one’s life.

Negative Effect: Rahu in the 9th house might generate a high obsession to earn more in life, and they are likely to get involved in an illegal act to fulfill their obsession. Badly placed Rahu may cause health problems for the natives’ father.

Rahu in 10th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in 10th house lead to a learned and adventurous life. One may travel far and wide and feel more comfortable in the company of foreigners. It makes the individual smart and clever. Also, they will win name and fame through their hard work.

Negative Effect: The presence of Rahu in the 10th house is not good. The individual will rise in life but quite late. One may develop a health problem in the head area. They might as well have a worried mind which may lead to weak mental health.

Rahu 11th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the 11th house may make one courageous, intellectual, affluent, and an almighty. They might get their desires fulfilled without much hard work. Also, they are likely to be lucky which may help them to get what they want in their life.

Negative Effect: On a negative note, Rahu in the 11th house may make one dishonest, arrogant, egocentric and witty. They may cross any limits to get their desires fulfilled. Also, they tend to be very lazy at the same time. They might also show manipulative behavior at work or at home time and again.

Rahu 12th House

Positive Effect: Rahu in the 12th house encourages an individual to spend money on charity and social work. It might also bring “name and fame” in one’s life. They tend to be real sympathetic towards people and always stay in a front line to help people.

Negative Effect: On a negative side, an individual might have to bear the financial penalty, fine, and loss of money or assets.
